  1. Dear Quark XPress users,

The Zapper file that was originally posted, Zapper 2.0, is missing a line of code (my sincere apologies for doing this to you again). As a result, documents that contain a lot of EPS files fail to print. Specifically, if you had 16 EPS files in a document, you would get an error in printing. This could have been 16 non-separated EPS files, or 4 separated EPS files, or any combination of these adding up to 16 or more EPS files. This new Zapper, Zapper 2.0A, corrects this problem. To install it, do the following:

  5. 1) Remove any previous Zappers from your QuarkXPress folder.
  6. 2) Copy Zapper 2.0A into your QuarkXPress folder.
  7. 3) Launch QuarkXPress; your QuarkXPress program will be updated to 3.0 subversion 3.
  8. 4) You do NOT have to reinstall QuarkXPress 3.0 to use Zapper 2.0A.
  9. 5) A copy of QuarkXPress 3.0 that has been zapped with Zapper 2.0A will have a subversion number of three. To confirm this, press Option-Help to summon the QuarkXPress environment dialog box.

  11. Zapper 2.0A is being sent directly to service bureaus, site support customers, customers under warranty and QuarkXTension developers. It is also available via online services, as detailed below.
